Resources for your security team.

I get hundreds of emails. I get all sorts of sales pitches on Church Security resources. By Googling “Church Security” you can find lots of material. Some of it Free and some not so much. A couple of years ago I bought every book on church security I could find on Amazon just to see if there was something new under the sun that might be of value to the church security world. They were almost all the same. All the vital areas were covered and there was very little of what I would call “bad advice”.

NOCSSM puts out newsletters with articles I write about church security. But after 20 years I found that I have already written on almost any subject having to do with church security. Our NOCSSM membership website resources have more articles, policies and procedure templates, Standards Operating Procedures for your security team, etc. Our YouTube channel has a lot of conference sessions from 18 years of yearly conferences. www.youtube.com/@gatekeeper921 .

NOCSSM’s yearly conference is a fantastic event tailored to give both the individual Gatekeeper and church Operations Executive and Administrator valuable insight into church security issues.

This month’s NOCSSM 2025 conference speaker profile:

Dr. Sean Lawler – The title is: The Neurobiology of Survival: A Prescriptive Approach for Surviving Life-Threatening Events and Applying Psychological First Aid in the Aftermath

Dr. Lawler will be presenting the brain’s and body’s response under extreme stress, including perceptual distortions that people can expect to experience and how to train to overcome these obstacles. He will also teach the Johns Hopkins approach to providing Psychological First Aid (something all church staff members and volunteers should be trained in). For those who have heard Dr. Lawler present before, this is an entirely new and revised lecture.

NEW CONFERENCE LOCATION –

We are pleased to announce that this year’s conference will be hosted by Central Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas.

Central is one of our Gatekeepers Program partners and has a tremendous security ministry.
