Title: How to End Hunger, Advance Nutrition, and Improve Health: Policy Priorities after the White House Conference
Speaker: Dariush Mozaffarian, MD, DrPH, Special Advisor to the Provost, Dean for Policy, & Jean Mayer Professor at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy
As part of the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, & Health, President Joe Biden announced a new national strategy for ending hunger, increasing healthy eating & physical activity, and reducing diet-related diseases in the U.S. by 2030.
This Strategy includes actions for nearly all federal departments and agencies, as well as new cross-agency coordination and implementation. It could strengthen and accelerate nutrition science and have benefits for health care spending, private-sector innovation and entrepreneurship, regional food systems, and sustainability.

The Drinking Water Work Group is looking for two new work group co-chairs for 2023-2024. As co-chair of the Drinking Water Work Group responsibilities will include shaping the priorities and direction of the work group, facilitating monthly work group meetings, and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
