NOSORH Annual Meeting: See You in Oklahoma City!

On September 9-11, NOSORH will host the 2025 NOSORH Annual Meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! This one-of-a-kind gathering brings together all 50 State Offices of Rural Health, along with rural partners and expert speakers, for three days of learning, collaboration, and networking.


NOSORH is especially excited to welcome a record 26 partner organizations this year. Their support and dedication to rural health make this event possible. See you in OKC!

Now Available in Rural Health University: Foundations of Financial Literacy

We're thrilled to announce the first course in our new “Foundations for Rural Health” series: Foundations of Financial Literacy. This short, self-paced course is designed to help rural health professionals build confidence and competence in nonprofit and government finance basics—from budgets, balance sheets, and essential financial terms. It’s the starting point for our growing Foundations for Rural Health series, which will continue to expand into other key rural topics in the months ahead.

New Policy Paper: Accessing Funding for Capital Projects in Rural Healthcare

The National Rural Health Resource Center, in partnership with Stroudwater Capital Partners, has released a new policy paper, Accessing Funding for Capital Projects in Rural Healthcare. The paper provides a historical overview of major capital funding programs and analyzes the persistent challenges that prevent rural healthcare providers from converting available funding into usable capital, undermining sustainability in rural health systems.
