A Message From Marty Dupree, DOM
Hello Little River Baptist Association Friends!

Our 146th Fall Annual Meeting KINGDOM-MINDED: PRAY * PROCLAIM * PLANT  “Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.” Acts 28:31

Dr Chris Schofield spoke like a prophet as he preached on “Desperate Prayer for Kingdom People, out of Jeremiah 8 and II Chronicles 7:13-14. - please see this LINK to the meeting and his message. Schofield reminded us that we need to “rekindle the vital spiritual life.” That we should not just pray desperately for what God can do for us, but we need to be desperate for God!

We had 15 pastors representing 20 churches with 50 people in attendance in person and a number of folks watching online via Facebook.
Special Thanks to Pastor Ronnie Stewart, church leaders, AV team and the worship team at Gourd Springs for hosting us and making all the technology available for the outstanding video reports. Please keep Pastor Ronnie and Sherri Stewart in your prayers as they battle Covid Pneumonia.

Info about LRBA

We gladly welcome 2 new pastors this year – Pastor George Smith at Chalybeate Springs and Youth Pastor D J Byers at Angier Baptist. Please pray for God’s called Pastor for the churches who are seeking interims and pastors.

Fill the Tank Sunday September 12 – 9 churches baptized 50 people. Praise the Lord!
It’s All About Jesus!

Church Planting Forum: Churches Planting Churches on September 14. We hosted 45 pastors, leaders and church planters to discuss the need to plant churches to reach Harnett County's growing population. Just the town of Lillington will double in 4 years.

This is for all kinds of leadership development from potential SS Leaders, Ministry Leaders, Pastors, Staff, Church Planters to Missionaries! Let’s find them in our churches!
Please register here -(Leadership Pipeline Registration)

Leadership is a Premium! Developing a Pipeline of Leaders is Paramount to Life!
Good leadership is needed for success in every organization. Good leadership is needed in the church, in business, in the school system, in government, in the political arena, in the military and especially in the home. America is in a crisis need of good leadership in every aspect of our society.

Please pray that God would raise up great Godly leaders to serve our country and to serve our churches. One of the most exciting things in our Little River association is that we have a number of gifted good young leaders. I’m so excited about this blessing! We desperately need to develop more!
My simple philosophy on leadership:
“Always do the right thing, the right way, for the right reasons and trust the results to God.”
If you do the right thing, you try to do God‘s will as best you understand.
If you do it the right way, you are being biblical and Christlike in all your processes.
If you do it for the right reasons, you are always checking your motives and your heart. Jeremiah says “the heart is deceitfully wicked above all else and who can know it.”
And then you trust the results to the sovereignty of God

Leadership is not always a title or a position, most often leadership is simply taking the initiative to do the right thing! We must develop Kingdom-minded leaders that will fulfill the Great Commission locally and around the world.
