OUR ANNUAL APPEAL IS UNDERWAY! PLEASE CONTRIBUTE AND SUPPORT THE ARTS AT NEW TRIER!
The New Trier Fine Arts Association (NTFAA) is a parent volunteer organization that supports the arts at New Trier by providing funding for enhanced arts programs. Your donations make the arts at New Trier more exciting and fun! With your help, we give grants that make it possible for professional artists to visit our classrooms and work with our students. We also give scholarships for continuing New Trier fine arts students to support their study of the arts during the summer and confidential financial help to students so they can attend art-focused trips and excursions during the school year, like the trip to perform at the Lincoln Center next spring. Visit our webpage to learn more about the NTFAA. Please click the green button below to make a tax-deductible donation. We appreciate any amount!

ANNOUNCING A NEW EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
New Trier has partnered with the University of Illinois Siebel Center for Design and the New Trier Educational Foundation to launch a design thinking program here at New Trier.
Together, we are embarking on a journey that will bring the principles of human centered design directly into our classrooms, enhancing the educational experience for both educators and students alike. This partnership aims to empower New Trier educators with the skills and tools for effectively integrating design thinking in their teaching practices.
Design thinking, which is also known as “human centered design,” is a problem-solving approach in which participants identify the unmet needs of a population to design solutions collaboratively and across disciplines -with the end user in mind.
New Trier is forming an advisory board comprising New Trier staff, industry professionals, community members, and higher education partners to propose a design thinking pathway in conjunction with our work around human centered design. More on that soon, so stay tuned!
“I’m thrilled for our current and future students,” says Executive Director Liz Mayer ’02. “Having had the privilege to benefit from the New Trier education, I’ve always known that great learning experiences come to those who walk through the doors of this school. This new design thinking program will yet be another pathway that will take every individual student’s learning opportunity to a whole new level.”

They will provide valuable insights on identifying signs of disordered thinking about eating and eating patterns, offer guidance on how to communicate health-promoting behaviors, ways to equip our young individuals with the tools they need to maintain a healthy relationship with their bodies and food, and strategies and resources for intervening.
