Seeking Nominations for a Youth Member for Synod Council

The Synod Council is the governing body of our synod (107 ministry sites) between our synod assemblies. They discuss everything from new ministries to policies to evangelism to budget matters to supporting congregations and leaders … and more!

If you know of a young person (not yet aged 18 by May 16, 2026) who might be interested in learning more about synod / church leadership – please encourage them to consider sharing their ideas, smarts, and faith in this important way!

Council meets every other month on a Saturday – and while zooming in is an option, it is more fun in person 😉 (Pic shows our synod council members & families from 2024)

The Youth Member is a two-year term, Election will take place on May 16, 2026.

Term begins August 2026, concludes July 2028.

Winter Gear Drive

Please join SKY in November as they host a Winter Gear Drive to support Trinity Lutheran Church in Everett’s mission to ensure unhoused people have what they need to make it through the winter months.

The greatest need is for men’s clothes, but women and children are in need as well. Other requested items include: blankets, sleeping bags, backpacks, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, shoes, and coats.

Donations can be delivered directly to Trinity in Everett, or you can contact Deacon Dustin at cyfdirector@gloria-dei-lutheran.org for a pickup.

Join us for our next SKY meeting as we learn under the theme of Good Samaritan Leadership. Learn from other students how to reach out and engage in love. We'll also enjoy games and pizza! SKY is open to all youth grades 6-12 and encourages relationship building between
