About DADA
The Downtown Art District Association is an independent, non-profit, community based, volunteer organization. We sponsor our First Friday Gallery Hops every month throughout the year. We depend entirely on individual and business donations in order to pay for gallery hop expenses, which include monthly street-closing permits and off-duty police officers to look out for everyone's safety. We also produce and distribute our monthly e-newsletter free of charge to members as well as to anyone who wants to be on our mailing list. Contrary to the opinion of many, we do not receive funding from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County government for these activities. In keeping with our mission to support the arts in our community, we would like to offer a greater number of educational and outreach programs. However, as a non-profit organization, we need your help in this endeavor. Show your love and support for the Arts District: make a tax-deductible donation or become a member online today! |
DADA Members meet every month on Tuesday, 10 days prior to the next gallery hop,in various locations throughout the Art District. Join us! Meetings are a great opportunity to meet up with art district folk in an informal setting and to find out about all the Hops and other fun events coming up this fall and winter. Our next members meeting is Tuesday, November 27th at Woodland Moth, 619 N Trade St.
DADA BOARD MEETINGS
are the Second Wednesday of the Month at 5:30 pm. Our next Board meeting is Wednesday, November 14th at Willy Nilly, 604A North Trade Street. If you have an agenda item, please email DADA at
