Stay in the WOW!

Message from the CEO...

As we embark on the holiday season we invite you to join us in celebrating the power of giving.

For most of us, this is the most wonderful time of the year because we have most of what we need to live day to day, and more.

Let's remember those who don't have, and listen to the quote of Muhammad Ali, "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth."

I hope the updates, recipes, and stories in this newsletter will leave you feeling informed, inspired, and connected.

"NO"vember the month of YES!

Being told "no" repeatedly can be a discouraging experience. It can be difficult to keep pushing forward when it feels like every door is closed to you. However, it's important to remember that persistence is key. Sometimes, it just takes one "yes" to change everything.

The road to success is rarely easy, and it often involves facing rejection and disappointment. But it's those who keep trying despite the setbacks that ultimately succeed. Every "no" is just one step closer to a "yes." It may take some time, but with hard work and determination, that "yes" will come.

One of the most important things to remember when facing rejection is not to take it personally. It's easy to feel like a failure when you're told "no," but it's important to remember that it's not a reflection of your worth or abilities. Everyone faces rejection at some point in their lives, and it's how you respond to it that determines your success.

In the end, it's all about mindset. If you believe in yourself and your abilities, and you're willing to put in the work, you will eventually find success. So keep pushing forward, keep trying, and don't let the "no's" get you down. The "yes" is just around the corner.

Intentional Collaboration

Dec 16 | 2:45pm - 6:05pm

WOW has partnered with Intentional Hearts Counseling & Consulting, PLLC to host an early screening of the newest version of the film The Color Purple, which is a powerful and inspiring story that highlights the struggles and triumphs of African American women in the early 20th century.

The themes of relationships, resilience, and restoration that are woven throughout the movie are not only important for women of color, but for all women who have faced adversity in their lives.

This intimate event will provide women with a safe, welcoming, and fun space for a bold new take on the beloved classic “The Color Purple,” and intentional discussion on these experiences with one another.

Location: AMC Clearfork, Theater 8

Prayer Mountain|Breakfast

Dec 30 | 9:00am - 12:00pm

Join us for our annual Prayer Mountain visit followed by an Eggsellence breakfast. Theme this year is "Less Will Be More in 2024."

Matthew 5:3 says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." This verse speaks to the idea that those who are humble and recognize their own limitations are more likely to receive blessings from God.

We often equate success with having more: more money, more possessions, more power. However, this verse reminds us that sometimes less is actually more. When we let go of our attachments to material things and focus instead on cultivating a spirit of humility and simplicity, we open ourselves up to receive the blessings of God's kingdom.

So if you're feeling overwhelmed by the constant pressure to accumulate more and more, remember that less can actually be more in the eyes of God.
