Hi NPC women!

As we kick in to a new season, I thought you might want to know what you're invited to around here, in the life of the church. but first.... indulge me...

Some of you know that every year I ask God to give me a word.

This year the word is not super fun: YIELD.

We talk about being yielded (surrendered) to God in prayer. But we also must yield (give up a demand) to right-of-way traffic. And a fruit tree yields crops (to bear or bring forth). Another defintion: To give up control over another. Don't we need more of this in community?

To yield is to listen. To yeild is to bear... To yield is to submit. It's a word that involves trust and a word that attributes good motives to others and to God.

I wonder how Christ will yield fruit in our own community this year as we yield to him....

My prayer is that each of us will find a place to safely yield, and to receive the fruit of the spirit in our community as we pursue life in Christ together-
