Dear Softball Coaches and Players,
I am truly excited to tell you that National Pro Fastpitch players
A.J. Andrews,
Lauren Haeger and
Keilani Ricketts will be at the
2017 Mohegan Sun World Softball Coaches' Convention on January 21. These players are three of
softball's brightest stars, with storied collegiate careers and continued success at the pro level.
I'll be leading a live pitching demonstration -
The 8 Speed and Spin Killers in Pitching -
working with Keilani Ricketts at 8:15AM to open the day. You won't want to miss the opportunity to meet and learn from these three special players - as they'll be participating in clinic sessions, signing autographs and be part of a "Be Real" Roundtable discussion.
Here's some more about each of these players/presenters:
A.J. Andrews is the first-ever softball recipient of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award. A dynamic All-American outfielder at LSU during her collegiate career, she has made it a habit of delivering incredible plays in the outfield for the NPF Akron Racers (her diving catches have become a regular feature on the ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Day).
Lauren Haeger was the 2015 National Collegiate Player of the Year, leading the University of Florida to a National Championship. Lauren can do it all -she's a world-class pitcher and hitter. She is the only NCAA player to hit 60+ career home runs and also win more than 60 games. She continues to excel for the NPF's Dallas Charge.
Keilani Ricketts didn't win one National Collegiate Player of the Year, she won TWO (2012 & 2013)! At the same time, she led the University of Oklahoma Sooner to a National Title in 2013, when she went 35-1 on the mound and also hit .379 with 15 homers - including a 3-run
homer in the title-clinching victory. Ricketts now plays for the NPF USSSA Pride.
