The City will make all reasonable provisions for the safety and health of its employees in accordance with applicable laws.
a) Infectious Disease: The City will keep all staff informed of new developments in the area of communicable infectious disease (i.e. HIV, TB, Hepatitis, SARS, EBOLA, and Bio-Terrorism) and will maintain an infection control monitoring program for employees exposed to infectious diseases through work-related activity.
b) PPE: The City will provide each employee protective equipment as required by applicable regulatory and governing agencies(i.e. CDC, OSHA, NIOSH, NJ Dept. of Health and FDA) including immediate access to required PPE for all direct and indirect patient care during any contagious disease outbreak including shoe/hair coverings where necessary.
c) All patient care areas shall be cleaned and/or sanitized in accordance with CDC and OSHA requirements.
