OCTOBER UPDATE
NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE: We have demanded dates from the City of Newark to resume negotiations to try and complete negotiations by the close of 2020.

HEALTH & SAFETY: We have demanded information from the City of Newark regarding COVID screening policies at entrances of all Newark public buildings. We have been told that Public Health RNs will be assisting. As you all know there are not enough Public Health Nurses to assist the community, yet they want these RNs to take temperatures at Newark's City buildings.

REMINDER: we caution against downloading any app to your personal cell phone that the City of Newark is promoting. We suggest that when the City implements the building questionnaires on this app, use the City's device which is to be provided for your use at the door. The City has notified us that these tablets have been ordered and they are awaiting their arrival. The computer program, with the app that was bought by the City of Newark, is a time and attendance with tracking app even though the City has said it will not be used for those purposes.
