Statewide Laboratory Advisory Meeting

At the meeting this month, Derek Julian, MPH from NE DHHS spoke about the respiratory illness rates in Nebraska. Afterward, Becky Bonacci, MLS (ASCP)^cm gave a talk about influenza testing that NPHL does for the Nebraska Surveillance Program.

Ben Ayers, MLS (ASCP)^cm talked about the changes in carbapenem testing at NPHL and the new CRE/CRPA/CRAB Supplemental Form

Ne DHHS personnel gave updates on outbreaks, current issues, etc.

Ben also discussed STATPack^TM. Ben and Becky will be starting to reinstall the system in this next year starting with contacting laboratories that have previously expressed interest.
