New Security Check-In
Dear Parents and Guardians,

All of our schools have recently launched a New School Visitor Management System in an effort to keep security a priority with our students and staff.

This system now requires anyone visiting the school to present a driver's license which will be scanned at our new check-in kiosk in the front office. You will also be asked to share information such as your name, date, time of check-in, reason for visit, and where you're going. Once all of the information is entered, a temporary badge is then printed out for you to wear for the duration of your visit.

If you do not have a driver's license on hand at the time of your visit, another form of photo identification will be required.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this as we continue to evolve our security measures to ensure the safety of you and your child in our school community. If you have any questions, please reach out to our main office.

Yearbooks
Last Chance to Be Assured Your Yearbook! Our yearbook deadline has come and gone but we will have extras for those last minute buyers. If you still want to receive a yearbook, forms are available in the main office. Remember there are only a limited amount of yearbooks available so order yours today.

Enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather but don’t forget the sunscreen, hats and sunglasses for sun protection, helmets for bike safety and water bottles for hydration. Our community is at increased risk for sun exposure not only because of our beautiful and inviting beaches but because water and sand reflect the damaging rays of the sun.
Flowers are blooming and so are a lot of allergies. Please contact the clinic if your
child needs an inhaler or any medication to make them more comfortable in school.
Parents avoid the rush in September. If your child has had a recent physical, please consider sending a copy to the clinic. It will be recorded into his/her health file. It can be accessed for Sports (provided it is within one year of the try out date) and for the 7 th grade state requirement.
7 th grade students will also need proof of the following:
§   A booster dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccine,-if it has been 5yrs or more since the last dose of diphtheria-tetanus containing vaccine.
§   Two doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccine or MD notation that your child has a history of chickenpox disease
§   One dose of Meningococcal conjugate (Meningitis) vaccine.
§   One dose of HPV ( Human Papillomavirus Vaccine)
Thank you,
Peg Fair, R.N.,C.S.N.T.

Hello all,

With the Holidays fast approaching we would love to spread the word about AmazonSmile. From July-September we made $7.73. The percentage they donate is .5% and every little bit helps. FYI***This week only until Fri-November 2nd they donate 5% (5x more).

If you already have an Amazon account its as easy as signing in through   smile.amazon.com . You will then be prompted to select who you are supporting with your purchases. Its as easy as one two three.
*1 Sign into  smile.amazon.com .
*2 When prompted simply type Narragansett.
*3 A list will appear for you to select Narragansett Schools PTO and that's it.
You only have to do that once and every time you think to make any Amazon purchase log in through  smile.amazon.com  and it will already be assigned to the PTO. It's that easy. Please spread the word to your family, friends, teachers, neighbors etc and our next deposit should be something to talk about. Thank you. Marilyn
