Our first dance of the school year for our 7th and 8th grade students, our Welcome Back Dance, was held on Friday, September 28. Music was provided by Larry and Michael Silvestri who had the students dancing and singing along to a variety of music.

October 10 is picture day
Flyers have been sent home with your student and extra flyers will be available in the office. Pictures can be paid by check or directly from Lifetouch on line. Late orders will be accepted online only up to 48 hours after Picture Day.
Beginning October 3 the 8th grade students will be walking to the high school to experience what a day at NHS would be like by shadowing with a high school student. They will come to school at the normal time and then walk to NHS for 9:30 and return to NPS at 1:50. Lunch will be provided.

Golf Club will be held each Thursday on a first come, first served basis. Sign up sheets and permission forms are in the office. Cost is $20 ($3 for pull-cart if wanted.) A signed permission slip must be returned and student must be picked up at school no later than 6pm. Any further questions, please email Mr. Smith at email@example.com.
Art Clubwill be held each Wednesday starting October 3, from 2:35 to 3:30. Late bus is available for interested students. Anyone interested should pick up a permission slip in the art room from Mrs. Burke or in the office and then return to Mrs. Burke.
Pier Peerswill start Monday, October 15 and run through the school year. This is a chance for students to work with other students on homework, projects and fun activities. Meetings will take place in Mrs. Hackett's room E3
Chess Club begins this Tuesday, October 2nd. Come one come all. No experience necessary and there is a late bus available. To be held in Mr. Schroeder's room, N3.
Open Library will start Monday, October 15th. Are you interested in creating a news cast? Creating something with duct tape or quietly reading? Please see Mrs. Mouradjian in the library for more information.
Math Club want to do math without a pencil? Want to design and build stuff? Then come to the first, super-secret math club meeting after school on Thursday, October 4th in Mr. Hoyle's room W10. Students in all grades welcome, even those who don't think math is lit!
The PTO is hosting the Scholastic Book Fair October 17-19. We cannot do this without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Please sign up for any and all shifts that may work for you. Please be sure your BCI is up to date!
NPS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB
Attention all NPS Athletes. The Booster Club is running a fundraiser in October. All athletes will have a chance to help. Fall athletes started to see this Monday, October 1. All Winter and Spring Athletes are encouraged to meet in the Gym Tuesday October 2. at 3pm and take the late bus home. There are prizes and incentives for those that help the Boosters. Hope to see you there!
