We were proud to meet with Senator Pete Ricketts, Senator Deb Fischer, and staff of Congressman Bacon, Flood, and Smith's teams to share our commitment to protecting homeownership, private property rights, and policies that help Nebraskans achieve the American Dream of owning a home.

NEBRASKA RECEIVES 2025 NAR PRESIDENT'S CUP AWARD

The Nebraska REALTORS® Association was recognized for receiving the 2025 RPAC President’s Cup Award during the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C.!

A special thank you to 2025 President Susan Clark and 2025 RPAC Trustee Chair, Bill Swanson, for accepting this award on behalf of Nebraska REALTORS®. This recognition reflects the continued commitment and dedication of our members to RPAC and protecting the future of the real estate industry.

ROAD TO HOUSING ACT PASSES THE SENATE

We are pleased to share an important update on federal housing policy: the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act passed the U.S. Senate on June 17, 2026, marking a significant step forward in efforts to address housing affordability, increase housing supply, and strengthen opportunities for Americans seeking homeownership.

The bipartisan legislation includes a broad range of housing priorities focused on increasing the availability of homes, reducing barriers to development, modernizing housing programs, supporting manufactured housing, and improving access to affordable housing opportunities.

For REALTORS®, this legislation represents meaningful progress toward addressing some of the challenges impacting today’s housing market. Increasing housing inventory, supporting responsible development, and protecting opportunities for individuals and families to achieve the dream of homeownership remain critical priorities for our industry.

We will continue to monitor the next steps as the legislation moves through the process and will keep you informed on developments that impact our members, clients, and communities.

Applicant Qualification Criteria:

• A college junior or senior in good standing for the academic year scholarship is received, OR a post-graduate student in good standing seeking an advanced degree.
• 
• If a college junior or senior undergraduate: Enrolled as a full-time student at one of the University of Nebraska campuses. 
• Working toward a degree in Business Administration or Construction Management. 
• Additionally, all finalists are required to attend a personal interview as part of selection process.
