Winter 2026 Symposium – Theranostics: Precision Imaging Meets Targeted Therapy
Join us on in San Francisco, CA on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 8am-12pm PT. The session will also be available virtually. This symposium will provide a comprehensive look at theranostics and radiopharmaceutical therapy. The program will begin with an introduction to the scientific foundations of radiopharmaceuticals, outlining how these agents differ from external beam radiation, and the practical considerations of imaging, dosimetry, and safe delivery. Participants will gain insight into the operational, regulatory, and infrastructural requirements needed to build a successful theranostics program within their institution.

NCORP Bootcamp at #NRG2026
Join NRG Oncology NCORP leaders for the NCORP 2026 Bootcamp designed to increase understanding of the NRG Oncology NCORP Research Base and NCORP Community Sites:
- Dr. Lisa Kachnic will provide an overview of the functions and strategic role of an NCORP Research Base.
- Dr. Carolyn Muller, PI of the University of New Mexico NCORP, will share insights from the field describing the operations and impact of an NCORP community site.
A panel discussion will focus on developing and enrolling to NCORP trials, with perspectives from both.
All attendees are invited to participate in interactive breakout groups focused on:
- Patient advocate engagement - To help investigators strengthen their NCORP concepts by integrating patient advocate perspectives early in development ensuring trials are understandable, feasible, and meaningful to participants.
- CPC, HCA and PCOR committees – learn more about NCORP concept development, collaboration with NRG committees, and integration of health care access throughout NRG trial development.
- Developing a framework for Advanced Practice Providers within NRG Oncology.

NRG Protocol Support Committee – Continuing Education Sessions
Please join the Protocol Support Committee for their upcoming Continuing Education sessions being held during #NRG2026 in San Francisco on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The Continuing Education Session for Nurse/CRAs on Thursday morning will be held virtually and in-person and is for both seasoned and new research staff. The monthly Discuss With Us session is being held in-person only and will cover topics including Onboarding & Retention, Biospecimen Collection & QOLs, and more! The Protocol Spotlight session on Thursday afternoon will be held in-person and virtually and will discuss the following studies – NRG-GU015, NRG-HN014, and NRG-CC014. Please refer to the posted agendas (login required) and flyers for more details about the PSC programing offered during #NRG2026. These sessions have been approved by the Virginia Nurses Association to award contact hours. The Virginia Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

NRG-CC013: If the protocol therapy cannot be administered according to schedule, the local PI should be involved in decisions regarding rescheduling. Treatment interruptions of radiation, cisplatin, and/or BMX-001 for non-medical reasons (holidays, vacations, weather, unexpected machine down time, etc) are at the treating investigator’s discretion and should follow local policy/practice. Interruptions should be documented in the treatment/research record and include the reason and duration.

6. GENITOURINARY
NRG-GU011: Please see Study Memorandum dated November 17, 2025 (posted on CTSU), regarding shipment timelines during the holidays. To avoid delays, submit shipment requests as soon as possible to support subject visits scheduled between November 10, 2025, and January 10, 2026.
7. GYNECOLOGIC
NRG-GY026: Accruing patients of all stages and all histologic subtypes of endometrial cancer.
NRG-GY031: Please note there is an error in the section 4.2 table and the Biospecimen Collection and Submission Manual. The Part I PK collection is to be done on Cycle 1, Day 1, and Cycle 1, Day 8. This will be updated with the next amendment.
NRG-GY037 requires blocks to be submitted, but the study team recognizes variations in site operating procedures to release blocks. Please refer to the Letter to Pathologists in the Biospecimen Collection and Submission Manual. If your site is experiencing any issues with this requirement, please contact the study team as we can work with sites on a case-by-case basis to ensure patients have an opportunity to participate in this trial.
8. HEAD & NECK
RTOG 1216: The Ferris Laboratory will not be accepting samples (fresh heparin and Streck blood tubes) from December 24, 2025 through January 1, 2026. The lab will begin receiving samples on January 2, 2026. Please plan your appointments accordingly to avoid any delays or compromised samples. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
NRG-HN008 - Reminder: please update treatment and AE data weekly. This is a Phase I trial and timely data submission is very important.
NRG-HN014: The Spanish-translated consent form for Amendment 1 and CIRB approval of the form are available on the CTSU website.

4. NRG Oncology Research at San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium
During the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, Eleftherios Mamounas, MD, gave an oral presentation on the abstract, “A Multimodal-Multitask Deep Learning Model Trained in
NSABP B-42 and Validated in TAILORx for Late Distant Recurrence Risk in HR+ Early Breast Cancer.” The ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group and Caris Life Sciences issued a joint press release announcing the first findings from their multi-year research collaboration to advance AI-powered multimodal tools for breast cancer recurrence risk stratification.
