1. Reminder About CTSU Website Access

Access to the CTSU Website is managed through the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program - Identity and Access Management (CTEP-IAM) registration system and ID.me (which incorporates Identity Proofing (IP) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) into the registration process). All users must have an active CTEP-IAM account linked with an ID.me account to access the CTSU website. If you have not completed this process, you have until July 1, 2023, to register with ID.me. Please remember this is a Federal requirement to access U.S. government IT applications according NIST SP 800-63-3 Digital Identity Guidelines.

2. REMINDER! Expansion of Safety-Lead in Sites for NRG Phase I Committee

The NRG Phase I Subcommittee is looking to expand the number of sites who can participate on the safety lead-in component of studies. Key considerations for being a safety lead-in site are:

·       -the ability to enter patient safety data in real-time

·       -site physician member or physician delegate must participate on safety calls (currently Friday afternoons at 3:30PM ET). Click here for application and more information.

3. Annual Call for NRG Oncology Administrative Committee Member Applications

Are you interested in serving on an NRG Oncology administrative committee? NRG Oncology depends on its members to assist with carrying out critical tasks to ensure the engagement of research personnel in high quality research and to support the timely dissemination of the group's research results and important programmatic information. If you are interested in serving on one of the NRG Oncology administrative committees or if you are a member who had previously served on a committee and would like to re-engage, please consider applying by following the instructions in the application and submitting a complete application. All applications must be submitted by midnight April 4, 2023.

Current committee members do not need to reapply.

 

The next call for administrative committee applications will occur in the Spring 2024. The next call for NRG Oncology cancer disease site committees, non-disease site committees, and scientific core committees will occur in Fall 2023.


4. RFAs for the NRG Early Career & New Investigators (ECNI) Committee AND for the NRG ECNI Mentored Fellowship

The NRG Oncology Early Career & New Investigators Committee is seeking applications for a one-year Mentored Fellowship. The purpose of Early Career & New Investigators Committee Mentored Fellowship is to identify Early Career & New Investigators who wish to develop their research ideas within NRG Oncology through close mentorship by the NRG Oncology Early Career Disease Site Liaisons and the NRG Oncology Disease Site Chairs. The NRG Oncology Early Career & New Investigators (ECNI) Committee is seeking applications for a two-year Committee membership. The purpose of Early Career & New Investigators Committee membership is to identify Early Career & New Investigators who wish to become more engaged with NRG Oncology, learn more about the NRG Oncology clinical trial development process, and deepen their involvement in various research opportunities within NRG Oncology. It is anticipated that Committee members might pursue the NRG Oncology Mentored Fellowship at the time of future requests for applications of that award. 6. Call for Applications for 2 NRG Committee Leadership Positions

Vice Chair, NRG Immunotherapy Subcommittee

Application Deadline: March 15, 2023

We are seeking nominations for the position of Vice-Chair, NRG Immunotherapy Subcommittee. This subcommittee within NRG sits within the NRG Medical Oncology Committee, a Scientific Core Committee, and aides in cross-group collaboration and engagement around immune-therapy agents and serving as subject matter experts on related topics. Subcommittee members will help liaise within the disease-specific committees in supporting developing concepts and protocols where immune-oncology agents may be appropriate for the patient cohorts in NRG’s portfolio. We are seeking nominations for the position of Chair, NRG Oncology Publications Committee. The Publication Committee within NRG promotes and facilitates the publication of studies to ensure NRG Oncology results are published in a timely manner, assures authorship lines are appropriate, reviews the science of abstracts and papers, assures timely reporting by assigning or reassigning responsibility, monitoring compliance with the Publication Policy, and proposes recommendations to update the Publications Policy as necessary. The Publications Committee may be required to consider and adjudicate appeals and/or disputes related to publications and may be required to issue recommendations to the Group Chairs for final decision. Click here for more information.
