Winter 2026 Symposium – Theranostics: Precision Imaging Meets Targeted Therapy

Join us on in San Francisco, CA on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 8am-12pm PT. The session will also be available virtually. This symposium will provide a comprehensive look at theranostics and radiopharmaceutical therapy. The program will begin with an introduction to the scientific foundations of radiopharmaceuticals, outlining how these agents differ from external beam radiation, and the practical considerations of imaging, dosimetry, and safe delivery. Participants will gain insight into the operational, regulatory, and infrastructural requirements needed to build a successful theranostics program within their institution.

Announcing the #NRG2026 Investigator & Career Development Committee Educational Session!

This year’s program explores protocol development from every angle—early-career investigators shaping their first studies, experienced leaders refining best practices, NRG operations guiding feasibility, experts addressing health care access, and insights from a disease site committee leader. NRG Scientific Session - Friday, January 23; 3-4:30pm PT

Join us for the #NRG2026 Scientific Session featuring updates on antibody–drug conjugates and novel approaches in breast and ovarian cancer, followed by highlights from top recent NRG abstracts presented at national meetings. Details are included in the session flyer.

NCORP Bootcamp at #NRG2026

Join NRG Oncology NCORP leaders for the NCORP 2026 Bootcamp designed to increase understanding of the NRG Oncology NCORP Research Base and NCORP Community Sites:

  • Dr. Lisa Kachnic will provide an overview of the functions and strategic role of an NCORP Research Base.
  • Dr. Carolyn Muller, PI of the University of New Mexico NCORP, will share insights from the field describing the operations and impact of an NCORP community site.

A panel discussion will focus on developing and enrolling to NCORP trials, with perspectives from both.


All attendees are invited to participate in interactive breakout groups focused on:

  • Patient advocate engagement - To help investigators strengthen their NCORP concepts by integrating patient advocate perspectives early in development ensuring trials are understandable, feasible, and meaningful to participants.
  • CPC, HCA and PCOR committees – learn more about NCORP concept development, collaboration with NRG committees, and integration of health care access throughout NRG trial development.
  • Developing a framework for Advanced Practice Providers within NRG Oncology.

Reminder, the following clinical trials are open to enrollment. Please continue to review your patient population and discuss enrollment opportunities with your clinical teams. All protocol related documents are posted on CTSU.


NRG-HN010: The HER2-low expressing cohort reopened to accrual on November 2, 2025. The HER2-positive cohort remains open and actively recruiting patients with salivary gland cancer.

Update: Kit Shipments to Sites in Canada

The shipment of kits to sites in Canada has resumed. Sites no longer need to provide their FedEx account number when ordering kits, unless they request to have a kit shipped overnight. Please contact the NRG Biospecimen Bank in Columbus if you have any questions:

 

NRG Oncology Biospecimen Bank - Columbus Phone Number

The NRG Oncology Biospecimen Bank - Columbus is phasing out its 866 number. The number is still listed in some older protocols, but when contacting the Bank in Columbus, please use 614-722-2865. The 866 number will be deactivated at the end of November 2025.

6. GASTROINTESTINAL

NRG-GI011: The following documents are available on CTSU:

NRG-GI012: Attn sites in Canada – NRG GI012 has been approved by Health Canada. The NOL and forms are posted to CTSU. Please submit the completed protocol signature page and Protocol training (RA and PI/QI) via the CTSU regulatory portal.

 

7. GENITOURINARY

RTOG-0926: A summary of research results is available on the NRG Patient Study Web Page. Sites, please share the summary of research results with study participants.

 

NRG-GU011: Please see Study Memorandum dated November 17, 2025 (posted on CTSU), regarding shipment timelines during the holidays. To avoid delays, submit shipment requests as soon as possible to support subject visits scheduled between November 10, 2025, and January 10, 2026.

 

8. GYNECOLOGIC

NRG-GY020: Approaching its final analysis. To provide the investigators with the most accurate information, please submit all overdue data and update any outstanding patient data queries by December 1, 2025.

 

NRG-GY026: Accruing patients of all stages and all histologic subtypes of endometrial cancer.


NRG-GY031: Please note there is an error in the section 4.2 table and the Biospecimen Collection and Submission Manual. The Part I PK collection is to be done on Cycle 1, Day 1, and Cycle 1, Day 8. This will be updated with the next amendment.

 

NRG-GY037 requires blocks to be submitted, but the study team recognizes variations in site operating procedures to release blocks. Please refer to the Letter to Pathologists in the Biospecimen Collection and Submission Manual. If your site is experiencing any issues with this requirement, please contact the study team as we can work with sites on a case-by-case basis to ensure patients have an opportunity to participate in this trial.


9. HEAD & NECK

RTOG 1216: The central lab, Ferris Laboratory, will not be accepting samples (fresh heparin and Streck blood tubes) on November 27, November 28, and December 1, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Please plan your appointments accordingly to avoid any delays or compromised samples.

 

NRG-HN008 - Reminder: please update treatment and AE data weekly. This is a Phase I trial and timely data submission is very important. 

 

10. VTOC TRAINING
