2026 Bike and Hike Series

NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Avenue

Join us for the next Bike and Hike Series on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 p.m. starting from the NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Avenue.

You choose to bike or hike at the park location listed each month.The Bike and Hike Series provides a great monthly opportunity to get outside and be active in a fun and welcoming setting.

• The recreational bike rides are 9–12 miles and the routes incorporate trail and on-road.

• The wellness hikes are 1-2 miles within the loop trails of the park and led by our staff.

• Individuals, groups, and families are welcome.

Bring your water bottle, and if riding a bike please wear a safety helmet during the ride. Thank you to our partners Medical City North Hills and Sunrise Bicycle Shop.

Play Today NRH - Nature Walk with a BIOBLITZ!

Saturday, September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Adventure World Playground, 7451 Starnes Road

Help us celebrate Nature Right Here in September with a special Play Today in partnership with Parks for Pollinators and the National Parks and Recreation Association!

Saturday, September 12 will be a special Play Today at Adventure World Playground, 7451 Starnes Rd from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will include a Nature Walk and BIOBLITZ! The Nature Walk will leave from the pavilion at 10 a.m.

A BioBlitz is where community members work with park staff to create a snapshot of the variety of wildlife that can be found in Cross Timbers Park. We will use an app, called iNaturalist, to take pictures of plants, insects and animals to see what wildlife is present in Nature Right Here on this day and provide us with more information about pollinators, which are essential to our ecosystem. We will load our findings up into the app to participate in BioBlitzes all around the country! The morning will include a nature walk and giveaways! Bring your phone to load up our findings. All ages are welcome!

NRH Community Yoga at Northfield Park

Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 a.m.

Northfield Park, 7804 Davis Boulevard

Unroll your mats and find your inner peace! Join us for a FREE Community Yoga session presented by the NRH Centre designed to help you stretch, de-stress, and soak up some fresh air.

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or trying your very first downward dog, instructor Stephany Padilla (500RYT) will lead a beginner-friendly flow perfect for all levels.

NRH Autumn Sounds - 90 Proof Country

90 Proof Country is kicking off the Autumn Sounds Concerts by bringing the best of ’90s country music to NRH!

Event Details:

When: Saturday, September 26

Time: Gates open at 6 PM | Music starts at 7 PM

Where: T. Oscar Trevino Municipal Center Plaza, 4301 City Point Dr

Admission: FREE!

Public Safety will direct you to the concert event parking. There will be food trucks with yummy cuisine on-site, or you are welcome to bring your own picnic, but please no glass containers. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to sing along to all your favorite 90s country hits.
