NRMN Master Facilitators Conference:
Looking Back and Looking Ahead
The NRMN Master Facilitators came together for a three-day conference on October 3-5, 2018 in Madison, WI. This event provided a space for Master Facilitators to look back at lessons learned about mentorship training, pilot new activities and think about how to move forward. They also discussed the dissemination of the newly adapted Entering Research
curriculum.

Dr. Charles Rogers Receives a Nearly $900,000 K01 Grant from the National Cancer Institute

Charles R. Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS, CHES, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and Huntsman Cancer Institute member at the University of Utah, recently received a K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development Award for nearly $900,000 regarding cancer research in African American men.
Dr Rogers will spend the next five years working with two graduate students and colleagues in community-engaged research, focus groups, and more.

NRMN at ABRCMS held a 3 part event series in collaboration with the CEC & DPC, highlighting the importance of utilizing your network to its fullest extend, and how to best make the most out of attending conferences such as Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS).

Research Resources and Outreach Core
The Research Resources and Outreach Core (RROC) recently published their Health Equity Learning Collaboratory (EQ-Collaboratory) paper showcasing investigators' productivity. The EQ-Collaboratory outcomes demonstrate significant differences for investigators who went through the coaching group model supported by the collaboratory compared to those who did not.
