University of Utah NRMN U01 Study

Are you finding it challenging to learn the intricacies of writing NIH-style research proposals?

Have you considered applying for entry into the University of Utah Grant Writing Coaching Research Study funded by the NIH Common Fund (grant U01 GM132366; administered by the NIGMS).

This study will compare variations of an established grant writing group coaching process to identify features that influence its effectiveness.

The Science of Effective Mentorship in STEMM

Please join us for the release of the new National Academies report, The Science of Effective Mentorship in STEMM , which systematically compiles and analyzes current research on the characteristics, competencies, and behaviors of effective mentors and mentees in STEMM. In addition to the comprehensive report, the committee will debut a practical resource guide for mentoring practitioners to create and support viable, sustainable mentoring support systems.

NRMN is attending National Conferences this Summer!

Transdisciplinary Community-based Participatory Research Training Workshop

(June 11-13, 2020 in Memphis, TN): Featuring nationally-recognized experts in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), this state-of-the-art, 2 ½ day workshop is geared especially for early stage investigators from various research and/or clinical backgrounds as well as researchers and clinicians more advanced in their career who want to further hone their community engagement skills. As part of the workshop, trainees will learn how to create and sustain community partnerships in order to meaningfully impact cancer health disparities. The workshop will be held at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN from June 11-13, 2020. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2020. Registration is free, but is limited to 50 trainees--applying early is encouraged. Decisions regarding acceptance will be made on a rolling basis.
