New Online Telehealth Training is Now Live: The NRTRC has added additional online telehealth training courses in partnership with the University of Utah School of Nursing, and the University of Washington’s Behavioral Health Institute team. The new exciting course offerings include Virtual Primary Care and TeleBehavioral Health specific for Veterans Affairs (VA) providers in Washington State. These courses are free, opened to the public and designed to enhance virtual care delivery to patients. Telehealth News:
 


  • The Health and Human Services Division is addressing rural maternal and obstetrics care by offering three four-year grants totaling $12 million. This program includes using telehealth to boost maternal health outcomes among underserved populations in rural America.
 
  • Federal agencies are reversing their course to deregulate mhealth devices, a proposal put into plan during the previous administration that has drawn strong opposition.

  • Medicaid Telehealth Policies for Children and Youth: Join the Center for Connected Health Policy and leading Medicaid experts on Friday, May 7, for the second webinar in our Spring webinar series: Medicaid Telehealth Policies for Children and Youth. This webinar will feature presentations on trends and innovations in Medicaid telehealth policy for children and youth. May 7, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time.  

  • RHC, FQHC Workshop On Completing The Claim: The second in our "Completing the Claim" deep-dive sessions, will cover the requirements and pitfalls in completing fields of the RHC and FQHC claim forms as they pertain to telehealth services. Learn about telehealth place of service, units, modifiers, service location and other billing rules for these practice settings. May 13, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
 
  • Medicaid and Telehealth Policies for Seniors: Join the Center for Connected Health Policy on May 14 for the third webinar in our Spring webinar series: Telehealth Medicaid Policies for Seniors. This webinar will bring together Medicaid officials for a panel discussion about how state programs and Medicaid agencies incorporate telehealth into their services for seniors. Presenters will also discuss relevant policy changes during COVID-19 and how that has impacted plans for the future of telehealth and seniors in their states. May 14, 11 a.m. Pacific Time.

  • HRSA Healthy Grants Workshop: This session, hosted by the Division of Grants Policy, Office of Federal Assistance Management, will summarize grants policy updates, legislative mandates and other topics that impact you. May 18, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

  • Telemental Health & State Medicaid Policies: Join the Center for Connected Health Policy on May 21 for the fourth webinar in our Spring webinar series, Telemental Health State Medicaid Policies. This webinar will bring together Medicaid officials for a panel discussion on innovative strategies to incorporate telehealth into Medicaid behavioral health services and programs. May 21 at 11 a.m. Pacific Time.
