January's New Member Mingle

Thank you to all who came out for our New Member Mingle last Friday! This is a great opportunity to connect and network with other NSAC members!

New members heard from our President and CEO, Duane Wilson, and were briefed on our 2023 Chairman of the Board, Danny Zimmermann, Cleary Zimmermann Engineers, and his initiatives for the year.

Those in attendance were also given ideas of how to immediately get engaged in our numerous councils, and how to join leadership programs...just to name a few discussion points!

These informative sessions take place bi-monthly, so if you were not able to attend this month's session, be on the lookout for our March Mingle!

Workforce Roundtable Discussion, Monday, February 13

SA WORX Job Shadow Days

• SA WORX is excited to announce our upcoming 2023 Job Shadow Days! This is a great opportunity for local employers and industries to showcase their work and share employee education, training, and career pathways with youth across San Antonio's 17 school districts.   
• You have multiple options for days/times; the event will be held from February 28 to March 2
• For 2023, employers have the option of hosting virtual (pre-recorded), on-site, and/or in-class shadows and visits (more details below). 

 Options:

Virtual option: Pre-recorded tours and staff testimonials 

• Employer will film or share existing footage of the company overview. 

On-Site: Includes Tour, employee engagement, and the employer provides lunch 

NOTE: If this option is selected, tours are from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on the selected day. Schools will be providing transportation to the site. On the registration form, please input the number of students you are able to host.  

In-Class: Includes employer visit to class, presentation/demonstration, Q&A  

• These presentations are usually 50 minutes long.
