Clarivate: Doing More With Less Webinar

February 15, 2023 11:00 am ET

Research development offices are continuously being tasked to do more with fewer resources.

Join us to learn how you can overcome time constraints and build a robust communication strategy that alerts researchers to the best, most relevant funding opportunities. Using simple communication techniques supported by a funding discovery service, even a small office or one-person department can scale efforts to promote funding opportunities across any size institution.

During this webinar, you will hear real-world examples from multiple institutions about how they:
  • Deliver targeted communications
  • Maximize exposure to the most relevant funding opportunities
  • Increase proposal activity across their university

Join this practical session to discover how to broaden the scope and scale of your funding communications capabilities while lessening your workload. Can’t make the live webinar? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
Is it a Gift, Grant, or Sponsored Project?
Securing Gifts, Grants, and Sponsored Projects from Corporations and Foundations. Presented by: CFR's Emily Irwin and OSP's Lori Ciccone, OSP, UNLV

March 8, 2023, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, Foundation Building, Blaso Event Wing

What is the difference between a grant, a gift, and a sponsored project?

For starters, they are managed by two different departments: UNLV’s Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) in the Division of Research, and Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) in the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. However, there is often a lot of grey area in making these determinations. In this workshop, you’ll learn more about OSP and CFR, how they work together, and how their roles are unique in helping secure investments in UNLV’s mission of education, research, and outreach.

Join the CFR and OSP teams to help you better understand the ways these critical departments collaborate, how they differ, and how they are positioned to help secure funding and partnership for your work.
