Tuesday, 10/29/2019 at 1:00 PM (EDT)
In the past 10 years, there has been a higher emphasis on claims coding. This is coming from bureau crits, test audits, and expanded premium audit training. The key point is that the practice of matching claims data with premium audit data has greatly improved both the accuracy of claims data and the quality of the premium audit. We’re going to walk through the process that the auditors do to check the claims class codes and review several examples to show how the claims data gives you the tools needed to uncover misclassifications, improve the data reported to bureaus and in many cases, increases the company’s revenue.
Objectives:
Present an in depth understanding of how claims relate to the audit.
Learning how to add value to your audit department with claims verification.
