NSLDS Issues TWO Important Announcements Regarding ERR Processing

FAS Clients:

In the past week, NSLDS has issued two important Electronic Announcements pertaining to Enrollment Reporting Functionality. FAS has highlighted key parts of each announcement below. We encourage all clients to click on each link provided for the full announcement. Please keep all NSLDS announcements pertaining to ERR functionality issues on hand.

NSLDS Electronic Announcement 23-04

January 12, 2023

Institutions have not been able to comply with enrollment reporting requirements for the period July 19, 2022, through the date of this Electronic Announcement. Therefore, for institutions with fiscal years ending through Feb. 28, 2023, auditors would not be expected to include any enrollment reporting data due from July 19, 2022, through Feb. 28, 2023, in their evaluation of the institution’s compliance with the enrollment reporting requirements. Institutions were expected to be following the enrollment reporting requirements for all other periods within their fiscal year.

NSLDS Electronic Announcement 23-05

As we informed the financial aid community in earlier announcements, we resumed National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS^®) Enrollment Roster processing in December 2022; however, we disseminated only some December Enrollment Rosters on schedule due to our identification of an issue. We resolved the issue and disseminated the remaining December Enrollment Rosters the first week of January 2023. To allow schools time to respond to the delayed December rosters, we explained that January Enrollment Rosters scheduled for dissemination during the period Jan. 1–15, 2023 would be held until mid-month.
