SOUTH FLORIDA NEWSLETTER
President's Message
Team, sponsors and partners,

As we get ready to go back to business in South Florida, I just want to remind you that it is important that we obey the rules and guidelines set by the counties, State and Local Governments. I am excited to see that we will be going back to our new normal but wanted to let you know that we are here for your support.

This month is also a great month as we celebrate our DAD's. As a dad of two great children and a father in law of another. This is going to be a fun time all around. For those that will be seeing their Dad or a father figure, please make sure you tell them that you LOVE them and enjoy the time.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for our first Virtual meeting in June 18 th , 6:30 – 8:00 pm. .

Please make sure you are signed up and contact our Events team if you need more information.

On a sad note, my mother Miriam Reece passed away last month the week after Mother's day. It is a sad and crushing blow to the family. We did get to see her on Facetime for Mother's day and now that she is gone, it helps me even more to say THANK you JESUS for giving me a mother who cares. Please tell everyone that you love at least once a day because you never know when it will be your last time.

God Bless you and your family at this time and Stay SAFE!

COVID-19 INFORMATION & UPDATE

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is working with federal partners to comply with the recent Presidential Proclamation suspending entry into the U.S. of foreign nationals of all nationalities, including Brazilians, who were present in Brazil within 14 days prior to their arrival. Emergency Order 20-13  expands Broward County’s Phase 1 reopening to include beaches, commercial gyms and fitness centers, hotels and other commercial lodging, with restrictions. Guidance for each type of establishment that is allowed to reopen is detailed in a series of 14 attachments. Businesses and residents continue to be responsible for adherence to social distancing, facial covering and sanitation requirements.  More...

Nobody likes to talk about life insurance, but they certainly like what it does. From a business perspective, it’s a smart idea to take out life insurance which can protect your company from financial loss, liabilities or instability in the case of sudden death, illness or disability. It can also assist you in maintaining your business through turbulent times, by providing short-term cash flow, keeping your operations running and suppliers happy. There’s a budget-friendly solution for everyone (-- even with health issues). Connect with Julia … to learn more.

We’re in this together
While you’re home sheltering in place and doing that extra organizing, set aside those gently used dress clothes for Suited for Success.  (Excess will be donated to the Purple Purse Foundation.)

When it’s time to go back to work, unfortunately, many more of our neighbors will be without jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They will turn to organizations like Suited for Success for professional attire and empowerment to help secure employment.

And you can help with that!

For drop off locations and pick up times  post  “Shelter in Place,” contact  [email protected]  or 786-427-3948. Thank you for your consideration and donation.
