A Lifetime of Service to NSU and Special Olympics
NSU Board of Trustees member Paul Sallarulo (‘88) continues to pave the way for NSU alumni who selflessly dedicate their time and treasure to make an impact on our community. Paul, an M.B.A. graduate of the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, proudly serves as Chairman of the Broward Special Olympics and is a member of NSU's Fellows Society. Read more ...

NSU Baseball Golf Classic Named After All-Star Pitcher Miles Mikolas
The Ninth Annual NSU Baseball Golf Classic, a tournament of baseball alumni, friends, family and program supporters is now named after former Shark and current St. Louis Cardinals All-Star pitcher Miles Mikolas. Mikolas is further expanding his involvement in the tournament, while also personally pledging a major financial gift in support of the NSU baseball program. NSU College of Business Alumnus Makes Generous Impact During The COVID-19 Pandemic
Thomas DeSernia (B.S. ’12) is the CEO and Owner of SA Company, a sports apparel and outerwear business based in Boca Raton, FL. The company has donated over 100,000 FACE SHIELDS® in South Florida, including many to first responders, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States in March of 2020.
Finding a Treatment for Veterans Suffering from Gulf War Illness and Traumatic Brain Injury
In the 2012 Suicide Data Report, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimated that 22 veterans a day commit suicide. This heartbreaking statistic is where The 22 Project, a South Florida-based non-profit dedicated to treating veterans and helping them adjust to civilian life, gets its name. The 22 Project is also a member of the NSU Fellows Society.

NSU and Broward County Announce the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation
Scheduled to open its doors in July 2021, the Levan Center of Innovation is the continuation of a long-standing public-private partnership with NSU and Broward County and will occupy the entire fifth floor of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, making it one of the largest of its kind in the nation, occupying 54,000-square-feet of space.
2020 Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
On Monday, Oct. 26, NSU's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship (HCBE) inducted three accomplished business leaders into its 2020 Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame, the college’s highest honor: James F. Allen, Shark Circle Fellows Society member Dan Doyle Jr., and Kristin Johnson.
