Wine Australia will launch on always-on, 24/7 virtual platform called Australian Wine Connect this March. The new interactive platform will be a go-to resource for Australian wine over the next 12 months.
It will connect winemakers, buyers, importer, distributors, media, educators and more; and offer a diverse program of engaging events and experiences.
Wine Australia is aiming for Australian Wine Connect to be able to help Australian wineries promote their products across the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Asian markets. It will allow buyers from across the world to network and meet producers, discover new wines, link up with distributors and enable sales conversations.

You can find out all about it HERE

Registrations close on 21st February.

Note: Eligible wineries can apply for the Wine Export Grant to help cover the cost of participation.
Another great newsletter which we recommend you sign-up for is Vinewatch. VineWatch contains updates, news and event information from across 11 NSW wine-growing regions.
It is an initiative of the DPI Viticulture Skills Development Program and sent out regularly by NSW DPI.

The NSWWIA with the assistance of the Bentleys group initiated an industry survey to ascertain the current position and general confidence levels in the wine industry.
On February 8th, Louise Vigar from the Bentleys group presented the NSW wine industry 2020 snapshot report to the board. The inaugural report had 54 respondents ranging from small, medium and large across NSW.
Some interesting findings from the industry snapshot were outlined including that drought and bushfires effected the respondents to a higher degree than Covid-19 in the last 12 months.
The full report can be seen HERE.
