Employee Spotlight: Rick Anderson

This month, we’re shining a light on Rick Anderson, the driving force (pun fully intended) behind our shipping and receiving operations. With over 20 years of dedication, Rick is a familiar face on the roads of the Twin Cities—often seen in the official NTM truck. His commitment to ensuring every delivery is handled with care is a cornerstone of our success. We’re proud to have Rick as part of our team, embodying the reliability and hard work that defines NTM.

Name: Rick Anderson

How long have you been at NTM? I’ve been at NTM since 9/21/2004; 20 years and counting!

What was your first week at NTM like? My first week at NTM was a busy time in shipping and also for deliveries and pickups.

What has changed? Packages for Spee-Dee Delivery service got labels from a book. UPS packages got color coded tape showing priority status. NTM did not have a regular scheduled pick up for FedEx. Now all three delivery services have computer programs for generating labels that include all of the pertinent information so there’s no more red tape.

What does your role look like today? I handle parts delivery and pickup to outside services around the Twin Cities metro, pickup supplies as needed, receive incoming materials, and package shipments to customers.

What are your hobbies outside of work? I like to spend time with family and friends. My hobbies include skating, snowshoeing and disk golf.
