NTM Continues to Invest in New Technology

NTM believes in investing in the latest technology to continue to meet the needs of our customers. Recently, we purchased a new NXV1680B model, manufactured by YCM, to maximize efficiency and improve our production capabilities.

The new addition of the NXV machine offers a number of advantages:

Increased speed: The NXV is up to 20% faster than our other milling centers. This increased speed allows us to produce parts more quickly and efficiently.
Increased memory: The NXV has more memory than our other mills, which allows us to store even more programs and increase our output.
Built-in probing system: The NXV has a built-in probing system that cuts down on set-up time and increases accuracy.

All of our CNC machines allow us to create precise, complex parts with ease, and efficiency.

Employee Spotlight: Keith Pickett

We have been discussing Keith a great deal in this email, so it is probably time for a formal introduction. Keith has been with NTM for 28 years (!) and is your go-to for all of your CNC Machining needs.

Keith truly does help out all of NTM wherever and whenever. He is always willing to share his knowledge and answer "why" questions. He is also a natural teacher, for both new and experienced employees.

Keith is a valuable asset to NTM and we are lucky to have him.

A little more about Keith, in his own words.

Title: Machining Manager
How long have you been with NTM: 28 years
What do you do here? Quote parts for new and repeat business. Create or update the program for parts to be machined, and I help out wherever I am needed with training, set-ups or questions.
What was your first week of work like? Everyone welcomed me in and was eager to help out.
Can you share a memory?: When Bob hired me, he asked when I could start. I told him about 4 weeks. He asked why so long; I told him I wanted to give my current employer proper notice. But their history was to let the employee go as soon as a notice was put in. He asked if that was the case why 4 weeks? I told him it was December 21 and I was going to wait until January 3rd to put my notice in because I earned my holiday pay, and I wasn’t going to lose that. Bob told me to put my notice in, if they let me go, he would pay me the same holiday pay as his other employees. So, I put my notice in on the 22nd, and was told I was done right then. I called Bob and told him I would start on December 26th. He paid me for the 24th, 25th, and January 1st.
Hobbies: Going to car shows and multi-state motorcycle trips. I have been to 48 states on my motorcycle. I really enjoy just being outside.
