Fast, frequent and reliable transit is one step closer to reality.

NVTA’s blueprint for a connected Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network builds on a $883M investment in five BRT segments and identifies 23 additional routes to expand cost-effective, high-capacity transit that complements Metrorail, VRE, local and commuter bus service.

Annual Legislative Forum

Amanda Sink, Project Delivery/Grants Manager, NVTA, and Alyssa Beyer, Regional Transportation Planner, NVTA, attended the Annual Legislative Forum hosted by the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC), Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) and Virginia Railway Express (VRE) on December 15. Ms. Sink and Ms. Beyer had the opportunity to engage with participants and highlight NVTA initiatives, with a focus on Bus Rapid Transit, connecting with partners committed to improving transportation across the region.
