Easter Blessings Everyone,

I hope the Easter season is finding you well. In the midst of all the strife, I am thankful to know that we are living into the Resurrection. We as a Region, we as the Church, and we as the Body of Christ are still coming together in new ways. As we continue to live into this time, there is so much information coming our way. It is my hope to provide some of the events going on around us. Please be in contact with me if there is anything that you would like to share throughout our Region.

One of my routines that I have begun over the course of this quarantine is participating in Compline. We have a Region group doing daily Morning Prayer and Compline, and I excitedly invite you to join us. Praying the Daily Office in this new way has been refreshing and grounding in so many ways.

See the links to the many parishes of our Region who are participating in livestream events, both on Sundays and throughout the week! The Region website will be updated as well with programming and information located here .

Stay safe and stay well.

In peace,

ECCT COVID-19 Resources
The Episcopal Church in Connecticut has put together many resources for us to utilize. There are financial resources for parishes, self-care information, and livestream information as well. Please see HERE or the link below to explore current news, events, and offerings.

NW Food and Housing Insecurity Taskforce
Recently a group has gathered on Zoom to discuss the status of food insecurity (food pantries, soup kitchens, etc) and housing insecurity in our Region. There are ministries both through churches and the state still in operation, abiding by the necessary guidelines of social distancing while still providing care for those in need. This is also part of a wider ECCT initiative. I am looking for those actively involved in these ministries to share in their current experiences. Our goal is to see how we can work together, share resources, and walk forward in this new environment. Please contact me at dmello@episcopalct.org to share information or join in our meetings.
Refugee Resettlement Orientation April 21
Though refugee arrivals are temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 crisis, IRIS is providing socially distant services to hundreds of clients who are already here: food deliveries to doorsteps, healthcare navigation by phone, and video English classes. They're also preparing to hit the ground running to resettle more families once arrivals resume, and we need your help!
Interested in learning how you can help welcome refugees to Connecticut? Please join us for a Virtual Community-based  Refugee Resettlement Orientation  on  Tuesday, April 21, from 11:30-12:30 . IRIS staff members will give an overview of our  Community Co-Sponsorship Program , which enables community groups throughout the state to welcome refugee families to their cities and towns. We'll offer advice on how you can organize neighbors & friends in your communities to welcome refugee families and respond to your questions. You can join the conversation via Zoom, or by conference call. Please   RSVP here , so we know who's joining us and can send a calendar invite. And please share this invitation widely! The more the merrier in the Zoom room!

Please contact Dylan Mello for Zoom log in and password information at dmello@episcopalct.org.

Volunteers Needed:
New Start Ministry is in need of volunteer drivers who are under the age of 60 and do not have underlying health issues. These drivers are needed to transport a member of our refugee family home from work, on a rotating schedule. To help maintain physical distance, the person rides in the car's rear seat. He lives in Waterbury, and his job pick-up is near the airport in Oxford. Please contact susan.e.suhr@gmail.com for more information or to volunteer.
