NW STEM Virtual Year Long Literature Festival & STEM Challenges

We have an exciting virtual festival planned for the NW region for this upcoming school year! Starting in September and going all the way through May, we have selected two books a month and created STEM challenges to go along with each! The books were chosen with national holidays and typical themes for each month.

This festival is FREE and open to students in grades K-4. We have kits ready to go for the first 500 students! These kits will be either delivered to your school through the AEA Van System or mailed directly to you each month. This festival is also open to homeschools, libraries, and after school programs.

Don't despair if you register after our first 500 students, you can still participate in the festival after the kits are all gone because the majority of the challenges involve household or classroom items. Here is a list of the books, activities, and materials for each. You will want to stock up on a few items such as cardboard tubes, cardboard boxes and other recyclable materials.

We do have a few copies of each book that you can also check out if you like, but each of the books will be read and recorded by STEM Superstars from our region and beyond! That checkout is linked here. You can also find these books at your school or local libraries.

Upon registration, you will be sent a link to a Google Slideshow containing the content and videos of the books being read. We will be continuously be adding content to the slideshows as the year progresses.
