Startup Colorado Rural Entrepreneur Grant Program

This program supports rural startup founders and small business owners in accessing technical assistance opportunities that drive success. Startup Colorado prioritizes initiatives and events that are rooted in collaboration, inclusiveness, accessibility, and community.
Revised Program Guidelines for Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Grant Program Published
Access Revised BEAD Program Guidelines here. Application window opens on July 7. On June 6, 2025, the NTIA announced significant changes to the BEAD program. We are still confident that we can work together with our partners across the state and connect as many Coloradans as possible with BEAD funding. We are releasing these guidelines a week in advance of the application window to give potential applicants time to review the guidelines and be prepared for the two-week application window. The new BEAD-eligible locations list, which now includes locations part of previously defaulted RDOF and other federal awards, will be made available later this week on the BEAD Mapping Portal.
Advanced Industries Early-Stage Capital and Retention Grant
Details here. This funding helps Colorado-based advanced industries technology businesses develop and commercialize advanced technologies that will be created or manufactured in Colorado. Projects can receive up to $250,000. The market typically under-invests in early-stage technologies. The grant’s goal is to fill the gap left by the market. The Global Business Development (GBD) division administers this grant in partnership with Colorado’s advanced industry trade associations and receives final approval from the Economic Development Commission.
Colorado CHIPS Community Support Program
Deadline: September 30 | Details here. The application window for Cycle 4 of the Colorado CHIPS Community Support Program is officially open, The Evaluation Committee will make final award decisions by December 31, 2025. This program is a suite of three grants that are available to local and county governments; regional economic development organizations; and consortia led by those governments and organizations to identify, develop, and market local assets that are relevant to the semiconductor and advanced industries ecosystems.
Public Impact Project Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary Grant Program
Deadline: July 9 | Details here. National Endowment for Humanities (NEH). This grant can be used to support cultural organizations in creating programs that commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Awardees can receive up to $200,000 through this program. Local governments, educational institutions, special district governments, and others are eligible.
KFC Foundation: Funding for Capacity Building Projects
Deadline: July 31 | Details here. The KFC Foundation’s Kentucky Wishes program provides grants to support capacity-building projects that expand access to food and shelter in local communities. Examples of eligible projects include remodeling food pantries, creating community gardens, upgrading animal shelters, and repairing or renovating buildings. Eligible applicants must be local nonprofit organizations, or local chapters/affiliates of larger nonprofits, that directly serve their communities.
Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative
Deadline: September 30 | Details here. The Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative’s mission is to provide practical support for efforts that promote safe, responsible use of off-highway vehicles; educate the public on proper recreational land use and wildlife conservation practices; and protect appropriate and sustainable access to public lands. Support is provided to nonprofit or tax-exempt groups, including clubs and associations, public riding areas, outdoor enthusiast associations, land conservation organizations, and communities with an interest in protecting, improving, expanding, or maintaining access for safe, responsible, and sustainable use by motorized off-road vehicles.
Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust
Deadlines: July 31 & October 31| Details here. The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust awards grants to nonprofit organizations based in the United States that serve sick and injured veterans and their families. Supported programs may include access to quality healthcare services; assistance for veterans dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, and substance abuse; support for mobility and rehabilitation needs, and initiatives that evaluate and address the unique needs of veterans from various eras of military service.
Accessory Dwelling Unit Grant (ADUG) Program
First Funding Cycle open Aug. 1 - Aug. 29 | Details here. The Accessory Dwelling Unit Grant (ADUG) Program enacted by HB24-1152 will provide grants to accessory dwelling unit (ADU) Supportive Jurisdictions for activities that promote the construction of ADUs.
Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Natural Disaster Mitigation Enterprise Grant
Deadline: August 9 | Details here. NDME will fund local governments to implement resilience and natural disaster mitigation measures and will match funds required by federal grants dedicated to implement pre-disaster natural disaster mitigation measures. NDME also provides technical assistance to local governments on natural disaster mitigation.
Housing Planning Grant Program (HPLN)
Deadline: July 11 | Details here. This program offers grant funds to support housing needs assessments, housing action plans, and comprehensive plans elements (strategic growth and water supply). Program guidelines, application materials, and other relevant information is available on the program website, and interested applicants should email Program Manager Ashley Basham to discuss your project.
Rural & Community Support Grants. Deadline: July 15. Anschutz Family Foundation. General operating and project-based funding. Eligible entities nonprofits and local government partnering with a nonprofit. The foundation supports nonprofit organizations focused on improving quality of life for individuals and families in Colorado, particularly in rural and underserved communities. Priority is given to projects addressing basic human needs, community and economic vitality, self-sufficiency, and access to opportunities. Eligible proposals should demonstrate community engagement, strong leadership, and sustainable impact, with an emphasis on organizations serving low-income and vulnerable populations.
