Join us immediately after the NWCCOG Regional Economic Summit to learn about broadband efforts and accomplishments across the region, gain insights from real community stories from Project THOR partner jurisdictions, and hear from both State and Regional Broadband subject matter experts about plans, funding and opportunities and share your experiences with this team. Our Regional Broadband and Project THOR Work Session will follow at 4:00 p.m. for business and technical conversations. There is no cost for the Regional Broadband Summit and Work session, but registration is required.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife Grants for Projects that Reduce Human-Bear Conflicts
Deadline: May 6 | More info and on-line application here. CPW is offering up to $1 million in grants for projects that reduce human-bear conflicts. The grant program is open to individuals but also local governments, NGOs, homeowners associations, community groups, businesses. The funding was provided from the passage of HB 21-1326 in 2021. One primary focus of the grants will be trash cans and dumpsters, which accounted for nearly one-third of reports of sightings and conflicts with bears.

Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI)
Deadline: April 21, 2022 | More info here. The Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) program is designed to help rural communities comprehensively diversify their local economy and create a more resilient Colorado. The most successful applications to this program are those from counties with less than 50,000 people, and from communities with fewer than 25,000 people. Projects that will be funded include plans, construction, programs, and capacity building. All applications must create and retain jobs, either direct or indirect. 

Yampa Valley Community Foundation Grants
Deadline: June 19 | More info here. Eligible organizations serve the Yampa Valley, Routt and Moffat Counties. The 2022 grant cycle will focus on unrestricted grants. Unrestricted funding provides grantees the flexibility to assess and determine where grant dollars are most needed, and allows for innovation, emergent action, and building sustainability.

New Round of Revitalizing Main Street Grants Available
More info here. In February, additional funding became available for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Small Multimodal & Economic Resiliency Projects grant opportunity to support small multimodal transportation projects across Colorado. There is no set deadline for these grant applications as funds will be awarded on a rolling, monthly basis until depleted.
