MTN2030 Summit

Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas Funding

NOFA to be released soon | Details here. U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) issued a Notice of Intent (NOI) for up to $400 million to spur innovative, community-focused clean energy solutions in rural and remote areas across the United States. The anticipated funding plans to support energy technologies that provide clean, resilient, reliable, affordable power, while also aiming to increase local economic development.

Housing Planning Grant Program

Deadline: April 11 | Details here. The Housing Planning Grant Program enacted by SB24-174 offers grants to local governments and certain regional entities to help them better understand their housing needs and to develop actionable housing needs assessments (HNAs), housing action plans (HAPs), and comprehensive plans that meet the requirements of the new law. The first grant cycle opened on March 10, 2025 and closes on April 11, 2025. Interested parties may complete this 1-minute survey or email Ashley Basham for more information.


Energy/Mineral Impact Assistance Fund (EIAF) Cycle Now Open

Deadline: April 1. DOLA has opened the latest EIAF cycle of $15 million. This program supports projects that promote sustainable community development and increase livability and resilience of communities through strategic investments in asset-building activities. Interested applicants must contact their Regional Manager prior to applying. 

 

Colorado Energy Office Community Accelerated Mobility Project (CAMP)

Deadline: May 9. The next round of CAMP, which offers grant funding for community-led e-mobility projects, is open. 


Natural Disaster Mitigation Enterprise Grant Program

Deadline: April 4 | Details here. The Natural Disaster Mitigation Enterprise (NDME) will fund grants to local governments to implement resilience and natural disaster mitigation measures and match funds required by federal grants dedicated to implement pre-disaster natural disaster mitigation measures. The NDME also provides technical assistance to local governments on natural disaster mitigation.

 

Other Opportunities


Yampa River Fund Grant

Deadline: April 1 | Details here.  Grants for conservation and restoration activities that positively impact Yampa River flows and support natural resource-based livelihoods, including agriculture and recreation, throughout the basin. The fund established in 2019 is a community-based collaboration dedicated to identifying and funding activities that protect the water supply, aquatic habitat and multi-beneficial opportunities provided by the Yampa River. Eligible grant applicants include local governments, Public districts, Irrigation entities, Mutual ditch companies, Homeowner associations, Nonprofit organizations. Parking Best Parking Management Strategies for Colorado Communities

The Best Practices in Parking Management Strategies for Colorado Communities report was released in late 2024 to support local governments and their partners in implementing context-sensitive parking management strategies and to serve as a resource for jurisdictions subject to the Parking Minimums law (HB24-1304). A webinar Coming Soon! will feature local governments leading the way in deploying parking best practices in their communities.
