Thriving Communities Program

Deadline: November 22. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Thriving Communities program to provide technical assistance for transportation and community revitalization initiatives.


Colorado Waste Diversion Grant

Deadline: January 5, 2023 | More information here. The Recycling Resources Economic Opportunity (RREO) Program provides funding that promotes economic development through the management of materials that would otherwise be landfilled. Funds are available to support recycling, composting, anaerobic digestion, source reduction, and beneficial use/reuse. 



Small Business Accelerated Growth Program

Deadline: November 30 | Apply Here. Offered by OEDIT. The Small Business Accelerated Growth: Market Research program is a two-month training program to teach you everything you need to know about market research, audience, and improving your processes. The program provides online learning modules along with personalized expert consultation, and potential grants to qualifying, selected businesses. 


Colorado Startup Loan Fund

The Colorado Startup Loan Fund provides loans under $150,000 and micro-loans to business owners who have had trouble securing financing, need a smaller-than-average loan to get up and running or haven’t borrowed money before. 


Opioid Infrastructure Share Grants

Deadline: January 13, 2023 | More info here. The Colorado Opioid Abatement Council is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for $2.5 million of the 2022-23 Opioid Infrastructure Share funds.  Local governments that participated in the Colorado Opioid MOU and Colorado Opioid Regions are eligible to apply for Infrastructure Share funds to develop the infrastructure necessary to combat the opioid crisis in Colorado.


State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program

Provides $1 billion in funding over four years, with $185 million available for FY22, to support efforts to address cyber risk to information systems. With this funding, state, local, and territorial governments will be better equipped to address cybersecurity risks, strengthen the security of critical infrastructure, and ensure resilience against persistent cyber threats for the services these governments provide their communities. For more information and helpful resources on the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program, visit CISA’s webpage, cisa.gov/ cybergrants.


Local Match Program for Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill Projects

Now open; will remain open until all funds are spent |Apply through DOLA Division of Local Government Online Grants Portal. Through an interagency agreement, the Department of Local Affairs, Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Governor’s budget office, have created a local match grant program to be used for local governments to support their non-federal match requirement when they apply directly to the federal government for infrastructure funding. In Fiscal Year 2022-23, $6 million will be available to local governments, and additional funds will be allocated in the following fiscal year. The minimum request for local match funds is $250,000. 


Brownfields and Land Revitalization Grants

Deadline: Nov. 22. This EPA grant works to change the way communities address and manage contaminated property. The program is designed to empower states, communities, and other stakeholders to work together to prevent, assess, safely clean up, and sustainably reuse brownfields. Current grant opportunities include Multipurpose Grants, Community-wide Assessment Grants, Assessment Coalition Grants, Community-wide Assessment Grants for States and Tribes, Revolving Loan Fund Grants, and Cleanup Grants. Colorado Water Plan Gants

Deadline: Dec. 1 | More info hereThe purpose of the Colorado Water Plan Grant Program is to make progress on the critical actions and measurable objectives identified in the Colorado Water Plan. All grant applications will be assessed based on funds available for a particular Water Plan category.

Colorado Water Plan Grant program funding categories include water storage and supply; water sharing agreements; conservation and land use planning; engagement and innovation; agricultural projects.

2023 Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) Summit

June 1-2, 2023 in Crested Butte.  The CCI Summit is the largest annual conference that brings together artists, culture bearers, creative industry entrepreneurs, arts funders, and culture workers. More than 300 creative stakeholders from over 60 Colorado cities and towns attend the summit. The two-day event offers exhibits, performances, networking opportunities, speakers, classes, and workshops.
