Summit Biz Bootcamp powered by CO.STARTERS Winter 2022 Cohort
The Summit Biz Bootcamp is a 9-week business development program that is powered by CO.STARTERS and brought to you by the Summit Prosperity Initiative, the economic development arm of the Summit Chamber. This is a program developed to help and support new and existing business owners and entrepreneurs with workshops, guest speakers, mentoring, coaching and educational classes. It's an interactive program with hands-on learning and activities.
SmartStart: How to Start a Business
Offered by the Small Business Development Center. This 2-hour webinar provides an overview of everything you need to know to start and grow your business including: How running a business is different than being an employee; trade name search; legal structure selection; state registration; local licensing requirements; business planning process; financing options.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL)
The deadline to apply for the COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) is December 31, 2021. Click here for further details. EIDL loan and Targeted Advance applications will be accepted until December 31 and will continue to be processed after this date until funds are exhausted.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Education Grants
Deadline: January 6, 2022. Under the Environmental Education Grants Program, the U.S. EPA seeks to support environmental education projects that promote environmental awareness and stewardship and help provide people with the skills to take responsible actions to protect the environment.
Great Outdoors Colorado Planning & Capacity Grants
Deadline: February 21, 2021. The Great Outdoor Colorado (GOCO) Planning & Capacity grants help our partners with planning, capacity, research, education, as well as further exploring issues and examining trends in the outdoors. Funding can accommodate a wide range of projects, including strategic plans and master plans. GOCO also invests in capacity-building and education efforts that help our partners make better informed decisions and take the appropriate actions. Through this program, GOCO also invests in research projects to share and further knowledge and facilitate learning in conservation and recreation.
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation: Five Star & Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program
Deadline: Jan. 15, 2022. The Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration grant program seeks to develop community capacity to sustain local natural resources for future generations by providing financial assistance to diverse local partnerships focused on improving water quality, watersheds, and the species and habitats they support. Grants are available nationwide, but additional funding is available for specific geographic priorities.
Revitalizing Main Streets: Additional Funding Available
Deadline: Feb. 4, 2022 | More info here. This program now has an additional $22,160,000 available to support transportation infrastructure projects across the State of Colorado. Eligible applicants are encouraged to attend the Revitalizing Main Streets Pre-Application Workshop on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, from 3-4:30 p.m. This workshop will cover applicant eligibility requirements, eligible project locations, funding requirements, project funding, evaluation criteria, selection process, and award conditions. Aim High Grant Program: Supports Out-of-School Programs for Middle School Youth
Deadline: February 1, 2022 | More info here. The focus of Aim High is to help economically disadvantaged eighth-graders reach ninth grade prepared to succeed in high school by supporting after-school, summer, and expanded learning programs. Funded programs must serve a high percentage, at least 75 percent, of low-income youth.
Community Access to Child Health Program
Deadline: January 24, 2022 | More info here. The Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) Program, a national initiative of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is designed to improve access to healthcare by supporting pediatricians who are involved in community-based efforts to enhance the health of children. CATCH Planning and Implementation Grants of up to $10,000 are awarded to pediatricians and fellowship trainees in the U.S. who plan to build broad-based community partnerships to address unmet child health needs.
Daniels Fund Grants
Deadline: Ongoing. The Daniels Fund grant opportunity is intended for programs focused on education, substance abuse, sports and recreation, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, youth development, and homeless and disadvantaged people. Funding is available for specific programs and projects, general operating support, and capital campaigns.
Advancing Informal STEM Learning Program
Deadline: January 18, 2022. National Science Foundation. The Advancing Informal STEM Learning program seeks to advance new approaches to and evidence-based understanding of the design and development of STEM learning opportunities for the public in informal environments. The program also intends to provide multiple pathways for broadening access to and engagement in STEM learning experiences, advance innovative research on and assessment of STEM learning in informal environments, and engage the public of all ages in learning STEM in informal environments.
YouthBuild: Program Supports Alternative Education for Youth
Deadline: January 21, 2022. Department of Labor. YouthBuild supports organizations that provide a pre-apprenticeship program model that encompasses education, occupational skills training, leadership development, and high-quality post-program placement opportunities for youth. YouthBuild is a community-based alternative education program for youth between the ages of 16 and 24 who left high school prior to graduation and that also have other risk factors.
Colorado Health Foundation’s Supporting Coloradans in Recovery Grant
Deadline: February 15, 2021 | More info here. This funding opportunity will support individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges in accessing non-clinical support services close to home that will make recovery possible. Individuals who experience mental health and/or substance use challenges often also experience other hardships in their life like maintaining a job and finding affordable housing. These hardships can make it difficult for an individual to focus on their recovery. The Colorado Health Foundation is interested in strengthening non-clinical recovery support programs that focus on the community and purpose dimensions of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) model of recovery.
Colorado Parks & Wildlife’s Fishing is Fun Grant Program
Deadline: March 1, 2022 | More info here. Characteristics of successful FIF grant recipients include projects that: Assist Colorado Parks & Wildlife in reaching its Strategic Plan goals, most notably an increase in angler recreation days or angler satisfaction; Propose improvements, which prove to be substantial in nature; Relates directly to an improvement in or access to the sportfishing resource; Assures public access to sportfishing resources; Are a cost-effective investment.; Maintain a lifespan suitable to sportfishing purposes; Support physical facilities indicative of barrier-free construction so that they are open to all anglers.
