CWDC Annual Talent Pipeline Report Launch

Dec. 16 | 2:30 PM - 4 PM | Hybrid | Details here. The Colorado Workforce Development Council is pleased to announce that the 2025 Talent Pipeline Report will be published on Dec. 16, 2025. This annual report dives into Colorado’s demand for and supply of talent in Colorado, offering insights for workforce and economic development, education and training, business, and program and policy developers. The event will include report highlights and feature a panel of state agency leaders.


Essential Business Skills for Child Care Administrators

Begins January 2026 | Free to Colorado Businesses | Details here. The Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) partnered with Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) to develop this program for those in the child care industry, whether just starting out or already operating, A Common Sense Institute report found that as of late 2023, Colorado had a deficit of approximately 88,500 licensed child care slots for children under the age of six with all parents in the labor force. This program is suited for child care professionals and administrators at all stages of business, including new and existing child care administrators, home-based child care businesses, child care centers and preschools, and individuals interested in starting a child care business.


America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission Monthly Meeting

For Local Organizing Committees, organizations, and individuals to touch base with regional Advisory Panel members, Commission staff, and Commissioners. This meeting is open to anyone interested in getting involved in local commemorative planning. It will be an opportunity to share ideas, resources, and strategies between local leaders from across the state. Commissioners and Commission staff will also provide updates about how to get directly involved with Commission signature initiatives and upcoming events. This is a great opportunity to be inspired by what is happening around the state as we continue to plan for 2026

Catalyzing Local Resilience Action and the Next Generation of Leaders: The Colorado Resilience Engine (CORE) Internship Program

Earlier this year ICLEI USA launched the Colorado Resilience Engine (CORE) internship program with the goal of augmenting Colorado local governments' capacity to take on climate resilience projects. In the first program cycle, five local governments were paired with Colorado-based graduate student interns, with the goal of helping the host local governments make progress on their resilience goals with the help of trained interns. With 2025 drawing to a close, ICLEI is hosting a webinar to share learnings and outcomes from participating communities' projects, along with more information about potential opportunities to get involved in CORE next year.


Eagle County Lodging Tax Marketing Committee Grants

Deadline: January 16, 2026 | Details here. The Eagle County Lodging Tax Marketing Committee is allocating approximately $350,000 in grant funds to support eligible organizations in their marketing and communication efforts, with the goal of promoting sustainable tourism, recreation opportunities, and cultural programs. Applicant organizations must exist for at least three (3) years before requesting funds, must fall into one of the following categories: 501(C)(3 or 6), a for-profit, independently owned local business, a special district or authority that does not collect lodging tax, or Municipality of Gypsum, and must be registered with the Colorado Secretary of State's Office and be in good standing with Eagle County for required permits, licenses, taxes, and fees. 


Climate Smart Communities Initiative Grants

Deadline: March 12, 2026. | Details here. The Climate Smart Communities Initiative (CSCI) is now accepting applications from communities looking to accelerate their climate resiliency plans and projects. Awards range from $75,000-$115,000. The funds can be used over a twelve-month period to advance a range of activities including risk assessments, community engagement, and implementation.

Technical Assistance for Childcare Facility Projects

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) offers technical assistance for child care facility projects. DOLA is teaming up with Executives Partnering to Invest in Children to host technical support sessions. This support is designed to provide timely, flexible guidance for child care facility projects that are ready to move forward and could benefit from expert help.
