Colorado Mountain College Leadership Summit Applications Open

Application Deadline: Sept. 1 | Details here | Application here. This program is for Summit County. The program’s mission is to educate community and business leaders by providing experiences that will increase awareness, develop leadership skills and motivate participants to be actively engaged in Summit County. Participants meet one day per month, September through May, resulting in over 60 hours of interactive professional development. Content includes trending leadership topics, panels comprised of more than 30 local leaders, and participant-driven discussions specific to Summit County’s challenges.

Federal Opportunities


Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) Program

Deadline: Sept. 30 | Full details here. The Department of Transportation has released the 2024 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) Program Fiscal Years (FY) 2024 – 2026 funding. The goal of the program is to advance community-centered transportation connection projects that improve access to daily needs such as jobs, education, healthcare, food, nature, and recreation, and foster equitable development and restoration. 


Historic Preservation Fund: History of Equal Rights Grants

Deadline: August 20 | Details here. The National Park Service’s (NPS) History of Equal Rights Grant Program (HER) will preserve sites related to the struggle of all Americans to achieve equal rights. HER grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS, and will fund a broad range of preservation projects for historic sites including: architectural services, historic structure reports, preservation plans, and physical preservation to structures. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal match.


New Access Points: Health Resources and Services Administration

Deadline: August 23 | Details here. The purpose of this funding is to support new health center service delivery sites to expand affordable, accessible, and high-quality primary health care for underserved communities and populations.

Off-System Bridge Grant Program

There will be a webinar on this funding program on Aug.14 from 12-1 p.m. register here. The CDOT Off-System Bridge Program provides CDOT funding to municipal-owned bridges for repair or replacement| Details here.


Revitalizing Main Streets Grant Program

Deadline: August 28 | Details here. Enhances active transportation safety and strengthens the connection of people to main streets and central economic hubs. The program encourages physical activity and enhances local economic vitality in towns and cities across Colorado through funding infrastructure improvements to make walking and biking easy, yielding long-term benefits that bolster community connections.

 

History Colorado State Historical Fund

Next Deadline: October 1 | Details here. History Colorado's State Historical Fund fosters heritage preservation through tangible and highly visible projects for direct and demonstrable public benefit. 


Local Planning Capacity Grants – Colorado Division of Local Government

Next round opens September 1 | Details here. DLG has awarded $1.7 million in its latest round of Local Planning Capacity grants, a new program established by Proposition 123, the State Affordable Housing Fund. These awards support local governments implementing Prop 123 goals including fast tracking review of affordable housing and achieving Prop 123 commitments.

The next round of funding opens September 1 - 30, 2024 with $4.8 million available. An informational webinar for prospective applicants is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31 at 2 p.m. - register here.

 

Tourism Marketing Grant

Deadline: September 10 | Details here. Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade Tourism Marketing Grant provides funding to eligible applicants to support tourism marketing campaigns and initiatives. Program updates this year include an increased maximum grant request amount and a tiered match requirement based on funding request. 


Closed Landfill Remediation Grants: Colorado Dept. of Public Heath & Environment

Applications will be open July 1 | Details here. The program will provide grants to eligible local governments to help with the costs of environmental remediation efforts for, and management of, closed landfills owned by local governments.


CHFA Direct Effect Awards

Round 2: Open August 19 and closes Sept. 17 | Details here. CHFA is pleased to announce the dates for its 2024 Direct Effect Awards. Direct Effect Awards are an opportunity for CHFA to recognize and support Colorado nonprofits whose missions align with our work to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. In 2024, CHFA is celebrating 50 years of strengthening Colorado. To help commemorate, CHFA will additionally award up to five $50,000 Direct Effect Awards in each round of 2024.
