NWCCOG Regional Broadband Summit and Work Session
immediately following Economic Summit at 2:00 p.m.

Join us after the NWCCOG Regional Economic Summit on May 5th at 2:00 p.m. for the NWCCOG Regional Broadband Summit to learn about broadband efforts and accomplishments across the region, gain insights from real community stories from Project THOR partner jurisdictions, and hear from both State and Regional Broadband subject matter experts about plans, funding and opportunities and share your experiences with this team. Our Regional Broadband and Project THOR Work Session will follow at 4:00 p.m. for business and technical conversations.
There is no cost for the Regional Broadband Summit and Work session, but registration is required.

Breckenridge Grand Vacations’ Spring Grants Program
Deadline: April 1 | More info here. Managed by BGV Gives, the company’s philanthropic arm, the program was created to support organizations in Summit and Park counties through fundraising, sponsorships, grants, volunteering and in-kind donations. It focuses on areas such as health, human services, education, art and culture, environment, sports and recreation.

DOLA Affordable Housing Development Incentives Grant Program-Preliminary Planning & Analysis Funds
Deadline: April 1 | More info here. Funding to assist eligible Colorado municipalities and counties with funds to support preliminary planning and analysis work that is often needed to get an affordable housing development project ready to seek financing. Eligible communities include local governments who have adopted at least three qualifying strategies as listed in HB21-1271 (see last page of program guidelines).
Colorado Parks and Wildlife Grants for Projects that Reduce Human-Bear Conflicts
Deadline: May 6 | More info and on-line application here. CPW is offering up to $1 million in grants for projects that reduce human-bear conflicts. The grant program is open to individuals but also local governments, NGOs, homeowners associations, community groups, businesses. The funding was provided from the passage of HB 21-1326 in 2021. One primary focus of the grants will be trash cans and dumpsters, which accounted for nearly one-third of reports of sightings and conflicts with bears.

Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI)
Grant cycle opens March 21, 2022 and closes April 21, 2022 | More info here. The Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) program is designed to help rural communities comprehensively diversify their local economy and create a more resilient Colorado. The most successful applications to this program are those from counties with less than 50,000 people, and from communities with fewer than 25,000 people. Projects that will be funded include plans, construction, programs, and capacity building. All applications must create and retain jobs, either direct or indirect. 

New Round of Revitalizing Main Street Grants Available
More info here. In February, additional funding became available for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Small Multimodal & Economic Resiliency Projects grant opportunity to support small multimodal transportation projects across Colorado. There is no set deadline for these grant applications as funds will be awarded on a rolling, monthly basis until depleted.

AARP Community Challenge Grant Program
Deadline: March 22 | More info and apply here. AARP invites municipalities to submit applications for quick-action projects that can help your community become more livable for all (especially those age 50 and over), by improving public places; transportation; housing; civic engagement; diversity, equity, and inclusion; federal funding implementation; and more. Grants have ranged from several hundred dollars for smaller, short-term activities to tens of thousands of dollars for larger projects. The program is open to 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) nonprofits and government entities.

Rural Reskilling, Upskilling, and Next-skilling Workers Grant
Deadline: March 28 | More info here. Colorado Workforce Development Council via HB21-1264. This round of grants will support rural organizations in facilitating training for unemployed and underemployed Coloradans to earn industry-recognized credentials. 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organizations who have a partnership with local workforce centers in the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium are eligible for this grant opportunity. The CWDC will also host a voluntary informational webinar about the grant opportunity and application process on March 2 at 2:00 pm. 

Partners for Place Matching Grant Program
Deadline: April 13 | More info here. Partners for Places is a matching grant program that improves communities by supporting equitable sustainability projects that build partnerships between local government leaders, frontline community groups and place-based funders. The grant program provides partnership investments between $25,000 and $75,000 for one-year projects, or between $50,000 and $150,000 for two-year projects, with a 1:1 match required by one or more local foundations. 

Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program
Deadline: April 14 | More info here. The US Department of Transportation has published a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for $1.5 billion in grant funding through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program. This program helps communities around the country carry out projects with significant local or regional impact.
