The new school year is approaching, and the Council is strengthening our Manufacturing Academies program which aims to develop knowledge and interest in careers in manufacturing by working with students within our region’s ten school districts. The program now includes the new Adopt-a-School program and the Industrial Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship partnerships with FloridaMakes. ET Forum scheduled for Fall 2021
The Florida Forum on Engineering Technology (ET Forum) is a two-day meeting of community college engineering technologies faculty in Florida. The next event is scheduled for September 30 - October 1 at Eastern Florida State College (location is tentative). The Forum focuses on:
Curriculum reform for statewide associate degree programs
Providing a foundation for strong partnerships between colleges
Reform and reorganization of common course numbering for relevant courses
Unified input to Perkins IV state implementation plan
