We're Hiring
Did you know that NYAIL has a job listings page on our website? It's our Careers webpage, where you can find job listings from NYAIL and other ILCs.

Added this week to our job opportunities list:

TRAID Tuesdays with SAIL
Transport wheelchairs, walkers, grabbers, bottle openers, a special ice tip for a cane, and much more. Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) provides loans of assistive technology and durable medical equipment through its TRAID program. TRAID stands for Technological Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities. The TRAID program is available throughout New York with 12 regional centers.
TRAID Tuesdays

SAIL's TRAID program is on Facebook every Tuesday with videos and pictures of new tech and demonstrations of existing items. The videos and pictures help people see what is available and how to use items in addition to on-site assistance when you visit.

TRAID is the busiest department in SAIL on a daily basis. Each day dozens of people come into SAIL in Queensbury or Ballston Spa seeking to borrow medical equipment for someone who has a disabling condition. TRAID loans out all kinds of equipment for 30 days at a time and up to about 90 days. Borrowers have the opportunity to try out medical equipment just at the time they need it the most.
Find your local TRAID Center here. Listed below are ILCs with TRAID programs. ILCs may also offer assistive technology or equipment outside of a TRAID program. All ILCs can provide referrals, it's worth the time giving your local ILC a call.
