The self-certification form for restaurants to take part in the Outdoor Dining program is now available for restaurants and bars that meet program requirements. For restaurants participating in the NYC Open Restaurants Program, the application just opened this morning,please click here to access the application.
Restaurants will be able to use the following spaces, subject to certain limitations:
Sidewalks
Curb Lane Seating
Backyard Seating
Open Streets & Plazas
Documents needed to fill out the application include:
Restaurants and bars meeting NYC's Open Restaurants requirements, may apply for the program. Please have the following information available to apply:
Business name (DBA), address and contact information
Food Service Establishment Permit number
Dimensions of sidewalk and/or roadway seating areas
Establishments planning to serve alcohol must also provide:
SBS will also launch a reopening supplies marketplace for easy access to wholesalers selling PPE, gloves, sneeze guards and other equipment. Business owners can call a hotline at 1-888-SBS-4NYC with any questions.
We are currently working with NYC Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and NYC Department of Small Business Services (NYC SBS) to set up a time early next week for someone from one of these city agencies to walk our local restaurants through the process of reopening and answer any questions you may have through the process.
