NYECA Safety Committee Announcement

NYECA President Robert Amabile is looking to reestablish the NYECA safety committee to help address and bring attention to safety concerns within the electrical industry.  As our elected officials continue to pass laws regulating safety and the complexities of electrical work continue to pose risk to our employees, it is essential that members of the New York Electrical Contractors Association be part of the conversation and get the resources they need to be the safest contractors in New York City and Westchester.

The objectives of the NYECA Safety Committee would be to identify trends and recurring incidents that are affecting our jobsite and our employees. The Association office is prepared to provide resource campaigns to help identify trends and solutions to help you work safer.

As members of NYECA, we are asking you to identify someone from your company who is a safety professional or your designated safety person to be part of this committee. We hope you will find this to be a worthwhile experience. Our hope is this committee will collaborate with other safety committees across the New York City construction industry as well as with the Joint Industry Board and Local Union #3, IBEW.

We look forward to working together to help build a better and safer New York.
