Message to Familes From TEA

To support your communications to families, the Texas Education Agency is providing you with a Log In & Learn More toolkit of optional resources to share with parents and families to help them access and use the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) results as a way to measure their child's learning progress. We’re sharing these resources earlier than in previous years, based on your feedback.

The updated Log In & Learn More toolkit includes information about:

  • how families can access STAAR results through the Texas Assessment Family Portal or through their district’s family portal,
  • how families can review detailed information for each test question, identifying their child’s strengths as well as areas where the student may need additional support, and
  • how families can use their child’s STAAR results and easy-to-use resources to help their child focus on the skills they most need help with and can work on at home.

Resources are available for:

  • STAAR end-of-course (EOC) assessment results, which will be available to families on June 10, 2025
  • STAAR Grades 3–8 assessment results, which will be available to families on June 17, 2025

You can now access these 2025 resources in English and Spanish on our Log In & Learn More toolkit webpage. We hope these tools are helpful as you develop your own district communications to share with parents and families.

NYOS Parent/Guardian Survey

Please take the time to fill out the NYOS Parent/Guardian Survey.

You can expect 15 questions about the campus(es) your child(ren) attend as well as 15 questions about NYOS overall. Your opinion helps ensure NYOS is meeting your child's needs and allows us to monitor our school's progress towards both internal goals as well as additional High Reliability School (HRS) certifications. To learn more about High Reliability Schools, please see the HRS section of our school website here

Next Week is National Nurses Week

Next week we celebrate our amazing school nurses, Maddy and LaTasha, for the incredible care, compassion, and dedication they show to our students and staff. 💙👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

School nurses are so much more than a health resource — they are caregivers, first responders, counselors, and advocates. They help keep our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn, often providing calm and comfort on even the toughest days.

Maddy and LaTasha, your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is seen and felt across our entire school community. From tending to daily bumps and scrapes to managing health plans and emergencies, you are essential to the heart of our school.

We are deeply grateful for all you do. Thank you for your compassion, your expertise, and your endless commitment to our students’ well-being! 💛

Please join us in giving a huge THANK YOU to Maddy and LaTasha next week!
