Another 'Great' NYS Fair in the Books!

New Location and Continuing Traditions at the

2026 Great New York State Fair

The 2026 New York State Fair wrapped up 13 great days, and it's clear our booth remains a fairgoer tradition. We saw an even greater variety of guides move through the booth this year, a reflection of the strong materials from our Tourism Champions. Fairgoers were especially drawn to outdoor activities and cultural attractions, and many returning visitors made their annual stop at our photo kiosk.

Our new location in the center of the Horticulture Building brought increased foot traffic, with it neighboring I LOVE NEW YORK, the Maple Producers of New York, and Taste NY. Fairgoers were consistently amazed by the depth and breadth of destination information on hand.

None of this would be possible without our volunteers, who spent the Fair showcasing their destinations and networking with one another. As Kellie Christopher of the Corning Museum of Glass put it: "Helping fairgoers offers me a more well rounded view of what travelers are looking for in New York State... such a fun experience!"

U.S. Travel also has set a goal: 100 million international visitors annually by 2030—striving to make the U.S. the most visited country in the world. Policy pushes to reach that goal includes: removing barriers to visiting the U.S., restoring Brand USA funding, modernizing the travel experience and keeping essential workers paid during shutdowns.
