What is the NYSCA/GHHN Creativity Incubator?
The NYSCA/GHHN Creativity Incubator workshop series invites staff in museums to test out experimental interpretive approaches. Each workshop session is completely different! The end goal of the program is to open our eyes to new possibilities and encourage museums to think more imaginatively about the interpretation of their collections and the visitor experience. We are delighted to announce that our Museum Maverick for the Northern NY session will be Rainey Tisdale - to learn more about Rainey, click here.

The morning session will feature our Museum Maverick challenging our perception of the museum experience - exploring why audiences should care and inviting them to step outside their routine scope of work and explore the core concepts of interactivity, engagement & relevancy. In the afternoon session, participants will explore our host site's collections (the Adirondack History Museum), discovering the amazing stories they hold and creating new ones.

Pssst... Previous CI workshops were sold out (with a waiting list!) - so make sure to secure your spot as soon as you can!

We're very excited to bring this unique opportunity to museums around our great state - and hope you'll join us on this journey to think more creatively. We can't wait to see what ideas hatch!

*Workshop fee includes lite breakfast, networking luncheon, and resource materials.
